PATHWAYS TO BRIGHTNESS

The Pathways to Brightness Program is an economic and housing stabilization program geared toward assisting women transitioning from domestic violence with obtaining services, skills, and resources that will allow them to move from victim to survivor. The mission of Pathways to Brightness is designed to offer supportive services to survivors of domestic violence during their journey to re-establishing strength, self-worth, and rebuilding a healthy family structure. Services focus on four areas: immediate needs, transitional services, stabilization services, mental health, and wellness.

  • Immediate needs services provide domestic violence response and emergency referral services to women and children in need of emergency shelter services.

  • Transitional services provide transitional housing opportunities that place women and children coming out of temporary domestic violence shelters into mid-term and long-term housing.

  • Stabilization services provide a continuum of care to women and children who are impacted by domestic violence. Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation provides up to $1,500.00 per client to either help find a new residence, assist them with their current rent, mortgage payment or a down payment toward a new home purchase. Our goal is to stabilize communities and ensure sustainable homeownership, whenever possible. Current and potential home buyers are offered the Home Loan Process class and may attend First Homebuyers 101 literacy class. Clients may also receive assistance with furniture, housing supplies, personal hygiene, and utilities assistance.
