BUILDING SELF ESTEEM - DARE TO BE DIFFERENT
LESSON OBJECTIVE: Enhance self-esteem and self-confidence in youth at risk.
LESSON OUTCOME:

Students will recognize their own ability to set goals for their future.

Students will define different traits and characteristics that make them different.

Students will recognize and define the barriers/obstacles to future goals and identify ways to overcome them.
GOALS:

To develop a positive self-image.

To identify personal strengths and talents.

To cultivate a sense of self-worth.
ASSIGNMENT:
DUE NOW: THE ABCs OF ME!

First, write your first and last name vertically down the left side of the index card.

Next, choose a word that starts with each letter of your name. The word should describe something specific to you.

Write each descriptive word next to the first letter of your name.

TAKE HOME ASSIGNMENT:
Set aside time to sit and think of three (3) goals that you feel can be accomplished by the end of the program.
