COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS

 

Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation believes that community engagement, coordination, collaborations, and partnerships are important to the success of our programs, services, and organizational goals. They allow us to connect participants to much needed resources with duplicating services, provide awareness and advocacy opportunities, connect with potential donors and investors, and to be a resource for other agencies and businesses. Although the primary role of community coordination is the responsibility of the Community Outreach Director and Community Outreach Worker, all agency staff and volunteers assist with the overall identification and connection to community resources.

  • 50 Roses Foundation: Provides awareness and fundraising opportunities

  • A Firm Foundation, LLC: Provide financial literacy, business development and entrepreneurial services

  • Alive: Provide emergency shelter referral source (MOU)

  • Better Family Life: Provide community trauma group classes (MOU)

  • Beyond Housing: Provide first-time Home Buyer’s resources and classes presentations

  • Black Nurses Rock: Provides awareness and referral resources

  •  City of Hope Saint Louis: Provides awareness and emergency shelter resources

  • Crime Victims Center: Provide DV advocacy by securing protective and restraining orders; assist with Crime Victim Compensation Benefits application and conduct protective order classes.

  • Cure Violence: Provides awareness and referral resource

  • Flawed Moms, Inc.: Provides awareness and offers referral resource

  • Fun Without Guns: Provides awareness and offers referral resource

  • Gateway 180: Provides awareness and offers referral resource

  • Grind Hard Foundation: Provides awareness, referral resource, and outreach Initiative

  • Home Sweet Home: Provide furniture resource to clients in the program

  • Hopewell Mental Health: Provide mental health and psychiatric services to clients in the program; an provide housing services to referred clients

  • Access Foundation: Provide food for referred clients, and partnership outreach initiatives

  • Lydia House: Provide long-term housing solutions for clients in our program; refer existing clients to our program.

  • Mentors in Motion: Provides awareness and offers referral source for the kid’s programs

  • Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA): Provide homeowner resources to our clients

  • Own Your Now Show: Provides awareness and offers referral resource

  • People In Action: Provides awareness, food, PPP supplies and utility assistance.

  • Pink Angels Foundation: Provide resources to DV & SA cancer clients

  • Prosperity Connections: Provide financial literacy and coaching to clients in the program

  • Korey Johnson Foundation: Provides awareness and offers referral resource

  • DART: Serves as the liaison between all the DV and SA organizations

  • St. Martha’s Hall: Provides awareness and offers referral resource

  • The Recovery Village: Provides awareness and offers referral resource

  • United Way 2-1-1: Acts as a referral resource through 2-1-1 Hotline 

  • SHEARA HOUSE: Provides Emergency shelter for our clients

  • Sansone Group: Provides and presents renter’s education classes, and housing placement assistance.

  • Elizabeth Donielle PR & Marketing Agency: Provide PR & Marketing resources and opportunities; creates partnership and referral with other like-minded agencies

  • The Elite Graphixz Group: Provide graphics & marketing materials and promotional content.

  • Hilliker Corporation: Provide rental space and current lease agreement.

  • Krab Kingz: Major annual donor; and Domestic Violence advocate

 

Schools and Universities:

  • Brown College (Washington University Master’s Program): Provides interns with concentration in social work and therapy

  • University of Saint Louis Missouri: Provides interns with concentration in sociology & psychology, and criminal justice

  • St. Louis University: Provides interns with concentration in sociology & psychology, and criminal justice

  • Lindenwood University: 2DEF office serves as a practicum Intern site to obtain supervisory counseling hours to meet graduation requirements.

  • Harris Stowe University: Provides interns with concentration in sociology & psychology, and criminal justice

  • City of Velda Village Hills/24:1: Provides political support and resources within the 24:1 area

  • Saint Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones: Provides political support, referral, and awareness of the organization.

  • St. Louis Alderman Board: Provides political support, referral, and awareness of the organization.
