Provide one (1) example of an effective agency/partnership arrangement the agency has used in the past twelve (12) months.

Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation partners with SLATE Missouri Job Center to provide job seekers with training programs and employment, helping employers diversify their workforce, and assist youth with career skills. SLATE Missouri Job Center ‘s mission is to develop a quality workforce that meets the economic and labor market needs of the region by providing leadership and promoting collaboration between public, private and elected official partners. Their vision is to have a vibrant regional economy in which a job seeker has the skills needed to match available jobs and that every job has a qualified employee.

Through partnership with SLATE, we received three (3) agency interns for up to 320 hours each, totaling $11,520.00 in matching funds. This partnership allows our agency to leverage funds. It also increased their knowledge and awareness of the impact of domestic violence in our community. As an agency we provide leadership, mentorship, training, and professional and personal etiquette. Each intern completed the program successfully with a clear understanding and professional concepts and the needs of the industry; with an opportunity to jump start their careers as a domestic violence and sexual assault advocate.
